About Councilman Alan Lee:
Alan and his wife Lisa have been married for over 30 years. They reside in the Fox Farm neighborhood of Big Bear Lake. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren.
Prior to winning his election in November 2020, Alan served as a Big Bear Lake City Commissioner on the DWP Board of Commissioners. During his tenure, Alan led an unprecedented 15% reduction of our water rates on behalf of Big Bear Lake residents. Alan is a Fellow at Harvard's Executive Education Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government. Alan serves on the Board of Directors for the Mountain Transit Authority, as well as Big Bear Valley Fire Authority.
Alan believes by working together, we can make Big Bear Lake an even better place to live. A city where our neighbors look out for one another and where our City Government is focused and responsive to the local needs of our community. Alan is a steward our tax dollars ensuring our city funds are spent in the interest of our residents. Alan is committed to rooting out bureaucratic waste, fraud, and inefficiencies. Alan is always exploring ways to lower our taxes, while at the same time, maintaining and even enhancing our level of service - we can do better!
Alan's leadership style is bold, but inclusive and collaborative. He listens to the community with an open mind and caring heart - he is guided by what's in the best interest of our community.
